OHD26 Open Call

Do you have something you would like to include in this year’s Open House Dublin?

Open House Dublin is a free festival of architecture taking place across the city and county from 10–18 October 2026. Each year, the festival offers unique access to Dublin through a diverse programme of building tours, talks, lectures, workshops, exhibitions and a dedicated weekend of hands-on activities for children and young people, Open House Junior.

Dublin is full of incredible buildings, neighbourhoods, initiatives, histories and lived experiences. We want to give more people the opportunity to be part of the festival programme. Through the Open to All call, we’re inviting you as individuals, groups and organisations to propose ideas you would like to share with the public during Open House Dublin.

Would you or your organisation like to run a tour, host an event for children or families, or lead a workshop, conversation or exhibition? Is there a building, place or neighbourhood story that deserves to be better known?

Open House is about welcoming people into spaces, making architecture accessible and encouraging curiosity and conversation about the city and its built environment. In 2026, we are especially interested in ideas that explore Dublin’s architecture, built environment and neighbourhoods, from everyday places to hidden stories and from local histories to future possibilities.

In previous years, Open Call projects have played a vital role in the festival, spanning exhibitions, accessibility initiatives, hands-on workshops for children and young people, and a variety of guided walking tours across the city.

Be part of opening up Dublin this October!

Send us your ideas by 18 June through the link below, and we will be in touch. We would love to hear from you.

Seen from behind, several people are crossing a large, cobbled courtyard. Some are in wheelchairs and others are walking. There is a central path with flat paving stones but the rest of the surface is very uneven. There are some potted plants in the courtyard. The surrounding historic buildings are made of stone, with rows of arches, windows and chimneys.
