Announcing the LINA Open Call for Emerging Creatives
The fifth annual LINA Open Call is now receiving applications.
The European architecture platform LINA has launched its annual call for emerging creatives working at the intersection of architecture and spatial practices.
Apply by 3 August with your proposal through the LINA website.
The IAF is one of 35 LINA member organisations from countries across Europe who make up the LINA community along with talented alumni from past cohorts of creative thinkers and practitioners. Being part of LINA means being part of an experience in which we create and curate relationships and bring people together with intention and ambition. Previous IAF activity as part of the LINA architecture programme includes the LINA Writing Award in partnership with dpr-barcelona and the IAF Summer School, working with emerging creatives from countries including Austria, Italy, Ukraine, Serbia, Spain, Slovakia and Kosovo.
Please note that Irish applicants are encouraged to select member organisations and activities in other countries, as LINA supports international exchange and collaboration.
As a network of organisations, LINA works at the intersection of architecture and other fields related to spatial culture. As a platform, we support and promote emerging thinkers and practitioners. Our collective goal is to steer design and building processes towards regenerative practices and principles of de-growth.
2026 LINA Open Call
Each year, LINA holds an Open Call to find up-and-coming talent. The Open Call offers emerging creatives and practitioners the opportunity to connect with LINA member organisations across Europe for potential collaborations over the upcoming year.
Our international alliance is looking for emerging creatives working at the intersection of architecture and spatial practices to better our common future. Bold thinkers and practitioners are invited to apply with proposals illustrating their ideas.
Looking for inspiration? You can find a catalogue of previous collaborations on the LINA website.
Up to 22 individuals and teams will be selected as Spotlight LINA Fellows and invited to attend the LINA Forum to create connections and initiate collaborations. One representative of up to 22 Spotlight LINA Fellows (which can be individuals or groups) will be provided with accommodation and reimbursed for their travel up to €350 to attend the LINA Forum. This year's Forum will take place in Barcelona, Spain in October 2026, co-produced with Fundació Mies van der Rohe. They will also receive professional photo and video portraits and promotion on the platform’s communication channels.
With the support from the EU, around 90 collaboration opportunities are then organised as part of the LINA Architecture Programme, carried out by LINA member organisations. Each is looking to collaborate with one or more emerging practitioners, and the modes of collaboration vary widely: from participating in residencies and summer schools, mentoring workshops, holding lectures, developing interventions, designing exhibitions, researching, writing, editing and participating in talks and roundtables.
All applicants are eligible to collaborate with member organisations in the LINA Architecture Programme activities throughout the upcoming year, whether selected as Spotlight LINA Fellows or not.
Work within the LINA Architecture Programme is regulated through contracts that LINA Fellows sign with LINA members. The LINA team will support members and Fellows throughout the process. Contracts cover honoraria / fees and expenses and define the amount of work undertaken by LINA Fellows.
The call is open until 3 August 2026 at www.lina.community.
Applications are welcome from individuals or teams.
The application process is straightforward: apply online with
a proposal outline as a short text (either completed work or a new idea);
up to 5 images;
a short CV;
and an expression of interest in what you’d like to do within the programme.
You can select LINA member organisations to indicate your interest and as a starting point for potential collaborations.
Please note that Irish applicants are encouraged to select member organisations and activities in other countries, as LINA supports international exchange and collaboration.
