Join our Board
Irish Architecture Foundation seeks applications for our Board of Directors.
We are seeking up to five new Board members to support our mission as we embark on implementing our new strategy, Shaping Our Future, Building Our Knowledge 2026-2033.
To date an engaged, skills-based Board has been essential to the growth and development of the organisation. Now more than ever, and with new Chair Parag Joglekar, the IAF Director and Executive will draw on the independent support and guidance a great Board can provide. We believe architecture plays a role in all lives, as it impacts on where we live, work, play, and learn. When it comes to the built environment, lived experience has value equal to professional knowledge. So, to meet audiences on an increasingly diverse island, the IAF requires a Board that can give voice toward our shared, built future.
We are committed to maintaining a Board that broadly reflects the diversity of Ireland. You do not have to be an architect or come from a background in architecture or related fields to serve on our Board. Professional expertise and diversity of lived experience are equally valued. We welcome applications from individuals who have not previously served on a Board but who feel they have skills, experience or perspectives to contribute. We also encourage candidates located outside of Dublin and/or Ireland to consider applying.
We know you have something to offer, and we would love to hear from you. We strongly suggest that if this role is of interest you make contact with IAF Director Emmett Scanlon to discuss in advance of making an application.

If you wish to apply, please download the application pack (pdf) and complete the online form.
